Privacy Policy

Curating Community provides Playground and related services that help members organize information, participate in shared experiences, create content, and connect supported services. This Privacy Policy explains what information Curating Community may collect, how it is used, and the choices available to members.

1. Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, Curating Community may receive information such as your name, email address, profile information, notes, topics, entities, event or activity information, uploaded or created content, and other information you choose to enter into Playground.

2. Account and sign-in information

Playground may use Google Sign-In to authenticate members. Authentication identifies your account so Playground can provide the appropriate member experience. Playground does not receive or store your Google password.

3. Google services you choose to connect

Google service authorization is separate from signing in to Playground. Playground requests access to a Google capability only when it is needed for a feature you choose to enable.

Playground Calendar

When you enable Playground Calendar, Playground creates and uses a dedicated secondary Google Calendar named Playground. Playground uses the authorized Calendar access to create and manage that calendar and events associated with Playground. The integration is designed not to require general access to unrelated calendars or events.

Playground Storage

When you enable Playground Storage, Playground creates a dedicated Playground folder in your Google Drive. Files created through supported Playground features may be stored there. Playground requests limited per-file Drive access so it can work with files it creates or files you explicitly make available to Playground, rather than requesting unrestricted access to your Google Drive.

How Google user data is used

Google user data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide and maintain the Google-connected features you request. Curating Community does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use Google Workspace data to build advertising profiles. Access is limited to the purposes disclosed in this policy and the functionality presented to you.

Playground may store identifiers, metadata, relationships, authorization state, and application context needed to associate a Google resource with the feature that created or uses it. Durable files remain in the member's Google Drive, and Calendar events remain in the member's Google Calendar environment.

4. How information is used

Curating Community uses information to operate Playground, maintain member accounts and permissions, provide requested features, preserve application context and relationships, support shared activities, improve reliability and usability, respond to support requests, protect the service from abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Sharing and service providers

Curating Community does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers when necessary to operate the service, such as hosting, authentication, storage, or other infrastructure providers. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service from fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transaction where legally permitted and subject to appropriate protections.

When you intentionally use a shared Playground feature, information you choose to share may be visible to the people participating in that feature according to its design and permissions.

6. Storage and retention

Playground stores application data and relationships needed to provide the service. Durable user files created through connected Google Storage are normally stored in the member's Google Drive rather than as permanent files on Playground's server. Temporary processing files may be used when necessary and are not intended to become permanent user storage.

Information may be retained while an account or feature is active and as reasonably necessary for service operation, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, backups, and legitimate business records. Retention may vary by type of information and feature.

7. Disconnecting Google services

Disconnecting a Google capability removes Playground's ability to continue using that authorized connection. Disconnecting does not, by itself, delete your Playground Drive files, Playground Calendar, or other user-owned Google content. You can also manage or revoke third-party access through your Google Account.

8. Security

Curating Community uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information and authorization credentials. No Internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your choices

You may choose whether to use optional Google-connected capabilities and may disconnect them. You may also choose what information to enter, create, or share through Playground, subject to information required to maintain an account or provide a requested feature.

10. Children

Curating Community is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to this policy, please contact us.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Playground and Curating Community evolve. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes to how connected Google user data is used will be reflected in this policy and, when appropriate, in the product experience.
