I have always been interested in the connections between people—the person who knows who to call, the business owner who remembers a customer, the friend who introduces two people who should know each other, or the organizer who gets everyone in the same room.
Curating Community grew from a simple idea: technology should be able to strengthen those connections without becoming the point of the connection itself. It can help us find one another, remember things, share something useful, organize an experience, or make participation easier. Then, ideally, it gets out of the way.
That is why what I build here can look a little different from one project to the next. Sometimes it is a game that gets people laughing together around a shared screen. Sometimes it is a tool that helps a small business serve its customers without expensive systems. Sometimes it is an event, a QR code, a useful introduction, or simply a better way to keep track of something that matters.
The common thread is people. I want to build practical things that make it easier to participate in the communities already around us—and easier for new communities to form when people discover a reason to connect.
Playground has become an important part of that because ideas eventually need to become something people can actually use. Build something useful. Put it in front of people. Learn from what happens. Improve it. Then see where else the idea might help.
I do not know exactly where all of this leads, and I think that is part of what makes it worth building. Curating Community will keep evolving through real experiences, useful ideas, and the people who choose to participate.
If something here is useful to you, use it. Share it. And if it sparks an idea about something we should build or a connection we should make, I would genuinely like to hear it.
